Orvis Hill Country

The woodlands and farm country of the Northern Blue Ridge are home to Orvis Hill Country, one of the premier sporting clays, upland hunting, and instructional shooting properties in the world. The facility, which is approximately two hours by car from Baltimore, D.C., Northern VA, and Philadelphia, is nestled on 600 quiet acres that feature a 15-station woodland sporting clays course, a Five Stand, Wobble trap, and several instructional shooting sites. Orvis Wingshooting Schools and private lessons are available to the public by reservation and are taught by Orvis’s team of in-house experts. Expansive cultivated fields and hardwood hedgerows accommodate mixed bag hunting for members, with seasoned guides, pointers, and flushing dogs available for half-day hunts and European-style shoots.
