Covey Rise Lodge offers several lodging options, including two six-bedroom, beautifully appointed lodges, a variety of multiple-bedroom luxury cabins overlooking a 15-acre trophy lake, and six two-bed hideaway cabins. All lodging options feature an ensuite bathroom in each bedroom as well as a unique outdoor living space with comfortable seating and a private firepit. And for those who enjoy their own culinary pursuits, each lakeside cabin comes with a full kitchen outfitted with premium appliances, cookware, and outdoor gas grills—perfect for getting creative with freshly harvested vegetables from Covey Rise Farms.

Traveling to Covey Rise Lodge is easy with several airports in the area, including New Orleans’ International Airport (MSY). For guests who choose to travel via private air, our team can arrange transportation to and from our beautiful and naturally landscaped property. Helicopters are welcomed at Covey Rise.
Upland bird hunting is open from mid-October until the end of March. Our team and experienced guides cater to seasoned hunters, as well as those new to the sport. An in-house professional shooting instructor is available for those who wish to take their shooting to the next level, and shooters ranging from beginners to Master Class are welcomed. Our four-legged staff members are world-class bird dogs and represent a variety of breeds and premier bloodlines of pointers, flushers, and retrievers.
Off-season opportunities for non-hunting activities are numerous and diverse, and we can customize a trip to meet your needs and exceed expectations, including aiding in setting up off-site excursions as desired.
Covey Rise has a unique terrain when compared to much of South Louisiana, with rolling hills boasting native grassy fields with rows of majestic oaks and piney woods borders. The terrain is easy to navigate while in the Quail fields and for all other activities on property.
The minimum number of hunters allowed in each quail field is two and a maximum of three. We have six quail fields, which allows for a total of up to 18 upland bird hunters at once. We require a minimum of two hunters per duck blind with a maximum of three, and we have three duck blinds, which allows for up to nine waterfowl hunters at once. We require a minimum of 10 hunters for each pheasant tower shoot with a maximum of 20, and currently we have one tower.
For upland hunts and tower shoots, we require each hunter to be at least 12 years of age, unless they have completed an official Hunter Education Course and can present proof of certification.
No jacket is required. Casual attire is welcomed.
Yes. A basic Louisiana hunting license or a non-resident preserve license is needed and can be purchased online through the LA Department of Wildlife and Fisheries website.
Yes, there is high-speed fiber Wi-Fi available throughout the property.
Yes, we offer a variety of meeting spaces/facilities that can comfortably accommodate meeting groups of almost any size. All facilities are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi networks and the meeting spaces are customized per event regarding table, chair, and audio / video setup per the client’s needs.
