It’s the Four Corners’ area premier fly shop and outfitter, where our aim is to help you catch fish and have a great time on the water. Whether you need a few flies for the day, you’re looking to book a guided trip, take one of our many beginner-friendly classes, or even plan an exotic-destination fly-fishing trip, we are here to help you out from our fully stocked fly shop located in downtown Durango, Colorado. Duranglers Flies and Supplies had its humble beginnings in 1983, being the San Juan region’s first and only full-service fly shop and guide service. Durango is the perfect hub to fish the numerous waters of Southwest Colorado and the Four Corners region, including Northern New Mexico. Our guides are the best in the industry and boast decades of experience, teaching beginners and guiding advanced fly anglers alike. We can tailor a float, wade, or even a multi-day high-country fishing experience to your needs. We guide an immense number of waters, such as the Animas, Dolores, Rio Grande, high-country creeks, and even lakes targeting pike, bass, trout, and carp. Our trips are family-friendly, and we guide year-round, which can really help break up your ski vacation when snow conditions fall short.

We offer custom-guided trips that we tailor to your needs. From teaching beginners to guiding seasoned veterans looking to hone their skills, our guides are ready to help anglers find success on the water. We offer a variety of wade trips on medium and larger rivers as well as smaller high-country creeks in addition to float trips in New Mexico and Colorado rivers in the summer (depending on water conditions). We offer full- and half-day trips and do our best to have you on the water during the most productive time of the day.
All fly-fishing gear is included: fly rods, reels, line, leader, tippet, flies, high fives, and good times. If waders are needed, we have rental waders available.
Starting their descent to the sea, our rivers begin as small creeks in the heights of the San Juan Mountain range. These creeks offer a dry-fly-fishing paradise through the summer months, being populated with opportunistic smaller wild trout and native cutthroat. Our rivers pick up traction farther down the hill as these small creeks conjoin on their descent into valleys and canyons and offer habitat for larger trout. Closer to civilization, these growing rivers bring about opportunities for float fishing before they move on into the picturesque high deserts of Colorado and New Mexico, where large brown trout tread. Duranglers year-round guide service specializes in custom-guided trips on all of these waters. From small high-country creeks to slow, meandering high-desert rivers and tailwaters, the Durango area holds a massive amount of fishing opportunities. Our waters include the Animas River, Rio Grande River, Los Pinos River, Dolores River, Florida River, Piedra River, and more creeks and high alpine lakes than could be fished in a lifetime. We also have a plethora of lakes and reservoirs that hold pike, bass, carp, walleye, sunfish, and trout.
