Gain valuable fly-fishing insight at our three-day Orvis Lowcountry Saltwater Fishing School.
100% customer satisfaction has been our commitment since 1856. It's who we are. If you aren't happy with a product or service, we want to know about it. And we'll make it right.
THAT'S THE ORVIS WAY.
The Orvis Lowcountry Saltwater Fishing School is hosted by Bay Street Outfitters and Anchorage 1770 Inn on historic grounds overlooking the Beaufort River in Beaufort, South Carolina. These pristine flats are home to abundant redfish and make a perfect setting to experience flats fishing from the bow of a flats boat.
This three-day Lowcountry Saltwater Fishing School adventure begins with instruction by Capt. Tuck Scott, an Orvis-endorsed guide. You'll learn fly-casting techniques, tackle and fly selection, knots, hook setting, and fish fighting techniques. Learning the double haul will improve your casting skills for many future trips.
Days two and three will be spent on a flats boat (two anglers per skiff) fishing with an experienced Bay Street Outfitters captain in the backcountry of Port Royal Sound targeting redfish, speckled sea trout, and cobia depending on time of year and conditions.
Tuition includes comprehensive instruction, guided fishing for two days, use of premium Orvis tackle, and lunches.
Note: Due to use of heavier tackle, we strongly recommend that participants be at least 12 years old.
At the Orvis Lowcountry Saltwater Fishing School, you'll get:
Orvis is pleased to offer our travel customers access to two valuable services: Global Rescue travel membership and IMG Signature Travel Insurance℠.
