1/2 day walkups, full day shoots also available. 2 hour parent/ children packages. Combine 1/2 day walkup with a round of sporting clays. Primland is ranked among the Top 25 destinations for sporting clays and this fall is introducing a special package to experience their newest sporting clay course simulating a true shooting experience.

What is Provided to Customer:

Guns, ammo and dogs are available to the customer at additional cost. Shooters may bring their guns and dogs.

Off-site Activities:

Antique shopping, winery tours, tour the quaint towns of Floyd VA and Mt. Airy NC.

Primland is a year round resort, with wingshooting available September through April each year.

Species You Hunt by Season:

Pheasant hunting is a specialty at Primland, and bobwhite quail and chukar provide additional shooting opportunities. Primland's spacious grounds, varied terrain and extensively managed habitat which includes small grains and warm grasses ensures that every outing is inherently unique and challenging. Early release methods ensure an abundance of hard flushing flighty birds.

Elevation for our hunting fields is 1500-1800 feet, the Lodge is perched at approximately 3,000 feet elevation with grand views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Piedmont Plateau.

Wingshooting is conducted in extensively managed habitat including small grains and warm season grasses among a terrain of gently rolling hills.

There is complimentary wireless internet access and underground parking for overnight guests at the Lodge.

The state of the art fitness center is located adjacent to the spa and is complimentary for overnight guests.

Where are the closest airports?

Private aviation - Blue Ridge Airport - Martinsville VA - 45 minutes - runway length 5002 ft.

A helipad is located at the north entrance. Coordinates are available upon request.

The Piedmont Triad Airport in Greensboro NC and the Roanoke Regional Airport in Roanoke VA are both about 90 minutes from the resort. Transportation to and from the airport can be arranged prior to arrival.

Charlotte International Airport is approximately 2 hours travel time.

Primland is located about 30 minutes east of Interstate 77 south at exit 14 (Hillsville-Galax VA).
